Roofnest recently made waves partnering with Honda at the 2019 SEMA SHOWCASE to present attendees with a tricked-out overlanding rig. The excitement about the setup was palpable, and this enthusiasm was echoed in the countless press mentions and highlights Roofnest received in the wake of the event.
And now, we’re over the moon to see that Wall Street Journal writer Dan Neil reviewed our Roofnest Sparrow along with a 2019 Honda Passport AWD Elite setup.
Neil didn’t mince words when he called out our Sparrow as the most impressive part of the whole rig:
“The star of our show was the Roofnest Sparrow ($2,795). I confess, I have not cultivated any real depth in the field of car tents. With research, I discovered Roofnest is a premium brand. The Sparrow’s value seems to owe to its ease of operation, its spontaneity. The tent springs to its full boxy size in a matter of seconds, driven by substantial gas struts at all four corners.
I get the appeal. Just park, undo the four latches and front and rear safety straps, and voilà, pied-à-terre á la voiture, á la savage, a mobile man cave, Superman’s clamshell of solitude.”
We don’t speak French, but we think we know what Neil is getting at. A Roofnest offers the opportunity get away at any given time. With a hard shell roof top tent, you’ve got independence and freedom at your fingertips, no matter which car you strap beneath your tent.
