If there’s one thing 2020 has shown us, it’s that a Roofnest is truly versatile in the face of unpredictable change.
From offering a way to have a safe and socially-distanced weekend outside with your family to a whole new take on remote learning, a hard shell roof top tent can get you out of the house and on to new adventures — even during COVID-19.
The Washington Post recently highlighted one of the more surprising ways that a Roofnest can come in handy: by offering a perfect vantage point to go star chasing in one of the many Dark Sky Parks across the country.
Andrea Sachs, writer at WaPo, sets the scene on the search for the most comfortable and safe way to get outdoors during COVID-19. She decides to try out a Roofnest to do what we always say a hard shell roof top tent is best for: sleeping closer to the stars. (Seriously, we do say that!)
Sachs has an incredible night spotting stars and picking out planets in Cherry Springs State Park, a protected Dark Sky Park in Pennsylvania. When she’s finally soaked up all the star gazing she can muster, she heads to bed in her warm and cozy Roofnest.
